Formatting an SD card on your Steam Deck is straightforward. Here are the steps:

Insert the SD card: Locate the SD card slot on the bottom of the Steam Deck. Insert the card with the pins facing down until it clicks into place.
Open Settings: Press the Steam button to open the main menu.

Navigate to System: Go to Settings, then select the System tab.
Format the SD card: Scroll down to find the “Format SD Card” option and select it.

Confirm: Follow the prompts to confirm the formatting process. The Steam Deck will format the SD card to the ext4 file system, which is optimized for game storage
