Let’s explore how you can start or join a voice chat on the PS App using your phone for both PS4 and PS5:

Download and Install the PlayStation App:
First, ensure you have the PlayStation App installed on your Android or iOS phone. You can find it in your app store.
Log in to the app using your PlayStation Network (PSN) ID and password.

Joining a Voice Chat:
Open the PlayStation App.
Swipe down from the top to access the Friends or Messages section.
Look for the friend or group you want to chat with.
Tap the headset icon at the top to join the voice chat.

Starting a Voice Chat:
To initiate a voice chat, follow these steps:
Open the PlayStation App.
Go to the Parties tab.
Select Start Party.

Choose either an Open Party (where anyone can join) or a Closed Party (invite-only).

Follow the on-screen instructions.
Once the party is created, you can manage it from the voice chat card in the control center.

Using Your Phone’s Microphone:
If you don’t have a headset, no worries! Your DualSense™ wireless controller has a built-in microphone that you can use for voice chat.
