How to Extract Audio Files from Videos using iPhones (Easy Tutorial)
You can use the Shortcuts app on your iPhone to extract audio from videos. Here’s how you can create a shortcut to do that:
Steps to Extract Audio from a Video using Shortcuts:
Open the Shortcuts App:
If you don't have the Shortcuts app, download it from the App Store.
Create a New Shortcut:
Tap on the "+" icon in the top-right corner to create a new shortcut.
Tap "Add Action".
Search for "Get File":
In the search bar, type “Get File” and select the action.
This action will allow you to choose the video file from which you want to extract audio.
Search for "Get Contents of URL":
Add the action "Get Contents of URL". This will help to process the video file.
Search for "Encode Media":
In the search bar, type "Encode Media" and select it.
In the "Encode Media" action, change the format to Audio Only (you can choose between M4A or MP3).
Save the Audio File:
Now search for the "Save File" action and add it to your shortcut.
You can customize the folder where the audio file will be saved, or let it save to the default Shortcuts folder.
Give a Name to the Shortcut:
Tap on the settings icon (three dots) at the top-right, and give your shortcut a name, like "Extract Audio from Video."
Run the Shortcut:
Once set up, tap the shortcut to run it. Choose the video file from your Photos app or Files app, and the shortcut will extract the audio and save it as a separate audio file.
