How to Get Custom Background Image using Internet Browser on PS5 (Easy Tutorial)
On the PS5, the browsing options are limited and indirect, but here’s how you can try to use Bing to find and "set" a custom background:
Access Bing through PS5’s Browser:
Since PS5 doesn’t have a native browser app, use the workaround through Twitter.
Go to Settings - Users and Accounts - Link with Other Services and select Twitter. This opens a limited browser window.
In the search bar, type "Bing.com" to reach Bing’s homepage.
Search for a Background Image:
Use Bing’s search to find an image you’d like to use as your background.
Once you find an image, click on it to open it in full resolution. Adjust the zoom if needed.
Take a Screenshot:
When you have the image positioned as desired, press the Create button on your controller and choose Take Screenshot. This saves the image to your Media Gallery.
Use the Image as a Custom Background:
PS5 doesn’t officially allow setting custom background images, but you can use your screenshot as a “quick background.”
Go to your Media Gallery, open the screenshot, and leave it up on the screen if you just want a background visual when you’re not using other apps.
