How to Fix Screen Share Audio Not Working on Discord (Stream with Sound on Discord)
Screen sharing allows you to stream applications or games with your friends. Screen sharing can be done through a Discord server, or a direct message call. The Discord screen sharing feature is often used for streaming gameplay privately to friends, or showing projects.
In order to share your screen with audio you will need to stream an application. Streaming a screen won’t transmit audio, preventing any computer sounds from being heard.
While screen sharing an application should allow for sounds to be heard on stream, there may be other issues. When streaming a game or application it is possible that Discord won’t correctly recognise the application. To screen share with sound you will need to make a few adjustments to the Discord user settings. One of the common solutions is to add the application that you are sharing as a game.
