How to Setup and Use Nightbot
15This video will show you how to set up and use Nightbot. Nightbot is a versatile chat bot that allows you to control aspects of your stream through the use of chat commands. Some Nightbot commands can be used by moderators so streamers can focus on their stream without having to control it manually.
Nightbot comes with default commands that can be used by moderators and streamers. The default commands have preset settings, however you can change these through the Nightbot website at any point. Typically you will want to keep the default settings.
Custom commands can also be set up through the website. If you are creating a lot of commands at once, then using the website can be easier. Rather than having to remember difficult chat commands for setting permissions, the provided menus and options make it easier.
Commands can also be set to have an alias. This is when one command will use the response of another. This is great for saving time, and can ensure that whatever chat command a viewer uses they will receive the correct information. An example of this would be a YouTube and YT command.
