How to Use Game Capture in Streamlabs OBS
Streamlabs OBS allows you to display gameplay to be recorded or streamed using the game capture source. A gameplay source can also be used to capture some windows. When setting up the gameplay source there are several methods that can be used, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. The two recommended modes for game capture are auto and specific application.
The auto setting will allow Streamlabs to automatically determine which application or game to capture. This automated method can be useful if you’re switching between games when streaming or recording. However this auto feature may not always work as intended.
The specific application option allows you to select the exact program that you want to be captured. This works well to ensure that your gameplay is always being displayed when relaunching a game. However if you are switching between games then you will need to switch the application that is being captured, or have multiple game capture sources set up in Streamlabs OBS.
