How to Start PC into Bios Menu without Restarting & Pressing F Keys (Windows 10 or 11)
You can access your PC’s BIOS or UEFI settings without restarting and without the need to press specific function keys. Here are a couple of methods:
Using Windows Settings (Windows 10 and Windows 11):
Open the Windows Settings (you can find it in the Start menu).
Click on Update & Security.
Navigate to the Recovery tab.
Click Restart Now under Advanced startup.
In the additional menu options, select UEFI Firmware Settings (it looks like a microchip with a gear).
Confirm the action, and your PC will restart directly into the BIOS or UEFI settings.
Using the Setup Key (for earlier versions of Windows):
Reboot your computer.
As soon as you see the manufacturer’s logo during startup, press the key indicated on the screen to enter Setup or BIOS.
The specific key varies by manufacturer and model. Here are some common setup keys:
Acer: F2 or DEL
ASUS: F2 or Del
Dell: F2 or F12
HP: ESC or F10
Lenovo: F2 or Fn + F2
MSI: DEL
Microsoft Surface Tablets: Press and hold the volume-up button
Origin PC: F2
Samsung: F2
Sony: F1, F2, or F3
Toshiba: F2
Keep pressing the key repeatedly until you enter the BIOS.
Use your keyboard to navigate the menus since the mouse might not work in the BIOS.
