About this video: In this video, we show you exactly how to get an ALT in Minecraft in addition to showing you every single step of how you can run multiple Minecraft accounts at the same exact time on one PC. Whether you want to run two, three, four, or twenty, Minecraft accounts on the same computer, this video will show you how to do it using the default and normal Minecraft launcher - no extra downloads needed. Thus, let's go ahead and jump right on into how you can get a Minecraft ALT account and run two Minecraft accounts at the same time on PC!
First and foremost, I do want to say that this isn't a 'free #MinecraftALT account'. This is because free Minecraft accounts you usually never truly control. These accounts are owned by one entity that basically 'rents' them to you, or they are stolen from others who may not even know that your using their account. With this, you never know who may be waiting to take your 'free' Minecraft account from. Thus, these free services should never be trusted. You don't truly own the account.
On top of that, using a free ALT on a server can and will get you banned from servers. Most servers do not allow free public ALTs, and thus, they will ban them if they find one. With this, your main account will also get banned as it will be evading the ALTs banned, and there is no way for the server to know if that is just another free account.
With that, how do you legitimately get an ALT Minecraft account? Well, you purchase a Minecraft account directly from Minecraft.net. You can find our in-depth video on exactly how to purchase Minecraft in the description above. It walks you through every single step of getting Minecraft Java Edition. Once you purchase an account this way, we can show you how to add it to your Minecraft Launcher as an ALT.
This is a very easy process, but it is one that Mojang hides a bit in the launcher. First things first, make sure you are logged into your main account in the Minecraft launcher. Then, click your username in the top right. This will open a drop-down menu with a 'view accounts' button at the bottom of it. Click this button and you will be taken to a page with a '+ Add account' button at the top. Click that, and a login box will appear. Enter the login details of your ALT here and click 'login'. Your ALT is now added to the launcher.
Go back to the 'Minecraft: Java Edition' tab on the right-hand side. Then, click the 'Play' button in the bottom center of your screen. This will open Minecraft on your ALT account. Now, open the Minecraft launcher again. Click the username in the top right, and click your main account. Click the 'Play' button in the bottom of the Minecraft launcher, and now, Minecraft will open up with your main account. At this point, you should have two Minecraft windows. Now, join whatever server you want to with your ALTs, and you are good to go!
