About this video: This video is our step-by-step guide on how to download and install Modern SkyBlock 3: Departed in Minecraft. We do this using the Twitch app, which you can find linked in the description above. This is the easiest way to download and install the Modern SkyBlock 3: Departed modpack, so let's go ahead and do it!
First and foremost, we will need to download the Twitch app/launcher. You can find a link to the Twitch Minecraft Launcher in the description above. Once you are there, click the 'download' button. The Twitch App will then automatically begin downloading. Once it is downloaded, double click on it. You will then need to click the 'install' button. Once you have done that, you have installed the Twitch Launcher.
It should then open up automatically. You will need a Twitch account in order to download #SkyBlock 3 Departed. Login to your Twitch account, and click the 'mods' tab in the menu bar. Then, find Minecraft. Once you have found Minecraft, click on it. You will then see a purple 'install' button. Click on that install button, and Twitch will install what it needs for Minecraft.
Finally, you will be able to click the 'Browse All Modpacks' button and search for 'Modern SkyBlock 3: Departed'. It will pop up, where you need to click the 'Install' button that appears when you hover over the '#ModernSkyBlock3: Departed' image. Once you click this install button, the modpack will begin installing.
After it has finished installing, you can click the 'Play' button that appears when you hover over the modpack's image. At this point, the normal, default, Minecraft launcher will open up. You'll need to sign-in to your Minecraft account. Next, click the 'installations' tab at the top of the Minecraft launcher. Here, you will see a 'departed' installation. If you don't, close the Minecraft launcher and reopen it by clicking Play in the Twitch app.
Now, all you need to do in order to officially learn how to play the Modern SkyBlock 3: Departed modpack is to click the green 'Play' button that appears to the right of the 'departed' profile when you hover over it in the Minecraft Launcher. When you do, Minecraft will open up with the Modern SkyBlock 3: Departed modpack installed. This process may take a long time, especially on the first load. It took me over 5 minutes when starting this video.
You may also need to add more RAM to the Modern SkyBlock 3 Departed modpack. Luckily, that is covered in this video, and it can be done in just a few simple and easy clicks.
