How to Get & Use Cosmetics in Grow a Garden – Place, Move, & Delete
8In this video I show you how to get and use cosmetics in Grow a Garden. You can get cosmetics from the cosmetic store found next to the gear shop. Another way to get cosmetics is from crates, which are often obtained from events. Once you have some cosmetics you can then place them in your garden.
To use cosmetics in Grow a Garden you will need to open the Cosmetics window, which can be done by pressing the Cosmetics button in the top left corner, right next to the Inventory button. In the cosmetics window you will see all of the cosmetics that you own. You can place a cosmetic by selecting it from the menu while in your garden. Once done the cosmetic will be placed in front of you. You can then select the item to see the options, allowing you to move, rotate, and delete the cosmetic.
To move the item you will need to select it, then click and drag on the four arrow icon. You can place the cosmetic anywhere in your garden, provided it is attached to something, meaning you can’t place it in thin air. If you do want to place a cosmetic in the air then you will need to place it on the side of a plant.
If you want to rotate a cosmetic then you will need to use one of the 3 rotation options. The rotation option on the left will rotate a cosmetic from front to back, the middle rotation option will rotate around, and the third rotation option will rotate the cosmetic from left to right. Using all three rotation settings can help you get the exact position and appearance that you want from a cosmetic.
To remove a cosmetic from your garden you will need to select it then click the box icon. This will put the cosmetic back into your cosmetic inventory where you can always place it again later.
Another option is to delete a cosmetic, which can only be done from your cosmetic inventory. To delete a cosmetic you will first need to click the bin icon, this will put you into deletion mode. Once in deletion mode you can select a cosmetic from your inventory to delete it. A warning message will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to delete the cosmetic. You will need to select the check mark to delete the cosmetic, or you can select the cross to keep the cosmetic. Once you have deleted the item you will need to click the bin icon again to exit deletion mode.
