How to Upload Audio to Roblox
56In this video I show you how to upload audio to Roblox. You can upload audio to Roblox using the Roblox Creator Hub by going to the Creations Page, then selecting Development Items. Here you can choose Audio then click the Upload Audio button to begin the process.
To upload audio to the Roblox Creator Hub you the audio will need to click the Upload button, then find and open the audio file you want to use. When uploading an audio file you will need the audio file to be one of the supported formats. Additionally, it’s important to know that you can only upload 100 audio files per month.
After you have uploaded your audio file you will need to give it a name and a description. This can help you identify the audio when using it in games. Additionally, if you make your sound available on the Creator Hub store then other users will be able to find it based on the name and description. Once done you will need to click the Upload button to upload your sound to Roblox.
Once you have uploaded your audio you can select it to adjust the settings and permissions. If you want to put your sound on the Creator Store then you will need to enable the Distribute on Creator Store setting. However, you will need to get approval to distribute. You can begin this process by clicking the Submit For Review button. By having your sound on the Creator Store you will be allowing other people to use your audio in their games and experiences.
Alternatively, you can change the permissions for your audio to allow it to be used in specific experience or by specified users and groups. This can help you use the audio in an experience being developed with other people or a community. Additionally, you can let friends use your sound in their experiences.
To find your sound ID in Roblox you will need to go back to the Audio page and place your cursor over your sound. Once done you can click the three dots to open the options, then select Copy Asset ID. This will copy your Roblox sound ID so you can use it in Roblox Studio or wherever you plan on using it. Alternatively, if you want to find the audio link then you can choose the Open Asset Details button and copy the URL from the page that opens.
