How to Get your Single Player Progress Back on PS4 Console
To recover your single-player progress on a PS4 console, the process depends on whether your save data was backed up or synced beforehand. Here’s how you can try to get it back:
Option 1: Restore from PlayStation Plus Cloud Storage
If you have an active PlayStation Plus (PS+) subscription, your game saves might be stored in the cloud, as PS+ offers automatic or manual cloud backups for most single-player games.
Check Cloud Storage:
From the PS4 home screen, go to Settings - Saved Data and Game/App Settings.
Select Saved Data (PS4) - Cloud Storage.
Download to Console:
If your game save is listed, select Download to Console Storage.
Choose the specific game and save file you want to restore. Confirm the download.
This will overwrite any current save data for that game on your console, so ensure you’re selecting the right file (check the date and time of the save).
Launch the Game:
Open the game, and your single-player progress should be restored to the point of the last cloud sync. Note that some games auto-sync when you close them, while others require manual uploads (done via Settings - Saved Data and Game/App Settings - Upload to Cloud Storage).
