How to Backup Phone Data on Android with Google Account (100% Works!)

Enable Google Backup for Data
On your Android phone, go to Settings - System - Backup (or Google - Backup on some devices, like Samsung or Xiaomi).
Ensure Back up to Google Drive is toggled on and linked to your Google account.
Check that the account shown is the one you want to use (add a new account via Settings - Accounts - Add Account - Google if needed).
Tap Back up now to manually start a backup of app data, call history, device settings, and SMS (on supported devices).

Sync Contacts to Google
Go to Settings - Accounts - select your Google account.
