How to Import MUSIC to Sharefactory on USB using PS5 (Best Method)
3Importing your own music to Share Factory Studio on the PS5 using a USB drive is the most effective way to add custom audio to your video projects. The process is very similar to importing videos and images, relying on a specific folder structure on your USB drive.
Step 1: Prepare Your USB Drive 💾
Format the Drive: Use a computer to format a USB drive to exFAT or FAT32. These are the file systems that the PS5 can read.
Create Folders: On the root of the USB drive, create a folder named exactly SHAREFACTORY.
Create a Music Folder: Inside the SHAREFACTORY folder, create a new folder named exactly MUSIC.
Step 2: Add Your Music Files 🎶
Transfer Music: Copy the music files you want to import into the MUSIC folder you just created.
Check File Compatibility: Share Factory Studio primarily supports MP3 and AAC file formats. Make sure your music files are in one of these formats to ensure they are recognized by the app. If your files are in a different format, you will need to convert them on your computer before transferring them.
Remove the USB: Safely eject the USB drive from your computer.
Step 3: Import into Share Factory Studio 🎮
Plug into PS5: Plug the USB drive into one of the USB ports on your PS5 console.
Launch the App: Open Share Factory Studio.
Import from the Toolbox:
From the main menu, navigate to the Toolbox icon.
Select Import Music.
Select Import from USB.
A list of the music files on your USB drive will appear. You can select the ones you want to import.
Press the Square button to begin the import process. The selected music will be copied to your PS5's storage and will be available for all your projects.
Importing Within a Project: You can also import music directly while editing a video.
In your video project, press the X button on your timeline where you want to add music.
Select Add Music.
Choose the Import from USB option from the menu.
