Avoiding
=======
- Do NOT buy from aliexpress or Temu.
- Buy from a phyical store like Best Buy (USA), Target, or Walmart.
- Photography stores should carry legitimate cards.
- If buying online, buy from reputable photography/storage webstores like B&H Photo, Samsung, etc.
- Avoid Ebay and Amazon if possible.
- If buying from Ebay, only buy directly from the manufacturer or reputable reseller (like Adorama).
- If buying from Amazon, make sure that only Amazon, the manufacturer, or reputable resellers are shipping from Amazon. Do not buy from any listings with 3rd party sellers shipping from Amazon.

Verifying
=======
1. h2testw (https://h2testw.org/)
- Checks to see if the capacity of your card is real.
2.Crystal Disk Mark (https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskmark/)
- Checks your sequential and random read/write speeds. If the card is much slower than advertised values, it's most likely a fake unless you are using a slow microSD card reader or your USB bus is slow.
3. Samsung Authentication Utility (https://semiconductor.samsung.com/us/consumer-storage/support/tools/)
- Only works for Samsung cards but it's a simple plug and play app that checks in a second if your microSD card is genuine or not.
