How to make Cell Phone Signal Detector Circuit VHF UHF up to 6 Ghz
This is a simple demonstration how to make cellphone signal detector circuit using RF transistors BFG-591 that could detect 4G LTE mobile phone signal within frequency bands (VHF UHF) up to 6 Ghz.
Below are the list of components required to make the circuit.
100 Ohm, 10 KOhm, 47 KOhm - Resistors
10 KOhm - Variable Resistor
BFG591 (UHF 6 Ghz Frequency RF Transistor)
Blue LED
10 pF - Ceramic Capacitor
10 Cm - Antenna
CR2032 (3 Volt) Battery
There are few things that you need to understand about the circuit.
1. First - use high frequency RF transistors and in this tutorial we are using BFG591 UHF transistors that could cover up to 6 Ghz
2. Second the potentiometer or variable resistor is used to adjust the intensity or sensitivity of the circuit
3. Finally circuit capture very short range - and if you want to have long range perhaps Germanium Diodes or RF schottky diode can be used at the antenna level to capture the smallest of signal from the surrounding environment before it is amplified by the transistor. Or using power amplifier circuit also can help it capture longer range signal.
