16Simple tutorial how to make dark sensor circuit using ldr and transistors. This is the fundamental idea of automatic on and off light switch based on the intensity of light in the atmosphere. The main component of the light sensing circuit is the LDR (light dependent resistor) - it behaves when the atmosphere light is present the resistance increase otherwise when there is no light then the resistance decrease.
A simple dark sensor to turn the light on automatically when the nightfall.
The circuit assembly is on breadboard / solderless board to make it easier to connect the component without the need of soldering tools. Basically when the light is turn off as in the nightfall then the LED lights up automatically like wise when the light turns on then the LED will turn off.
The auto off / on light sensor circuit application is very useful to save energy and effort rather than manually switch on/off. Especially during a vacation where you are leaving your home without anyone attended to the lighting - so the dark sensor circuit will save you money by turning off and on the lights depending on the visibility of lights available.
The sensitive of the sensor can be adjusted by using a potentiometer
