First and foremost, you need to download Optifine. Optifine is the best Minecraft performance optimization plugin out there, and because of that, we will be using it to increase Minecraft's performance. Luckily, Optifine was very quick to upgrade to Minecraft 1.13.2, and we have a dedicated tutorial on how to get it installed and working correctly! You can check it out at the link above.
After you have Optifine installed, it is time to configure it. This is actually very simple, there are just a ton of different settings that you can go through. From disabling shaders and texture packs to turning off all particles, and even changing everything to the 'fast' setting. Once you have Optifine configured, you just need to test it. Go ahead and log into your favorite server or jump on into your single player world, and start checking your FPS. In most cases, you will see your FPS at least double if not triple or quadruple from the optimizations that Optifine adds to Minecraft. One note though, Minecraft is playable at 30FPS, so if you have a very bad PC, as long as you can get 30FPS, you will be able to play!
