About this video: This video is our in-depth guide on how to start a Paper server in Minecraft 1.13.2. #Paper is a Spigot fork that takes Minecraft server performance to an entirely new level. If you are having lag on your #MinecraftServer, you need to try Paper as it will probably fix it.
From our experience on our server, Play.BreakdownCraft.com, you can expect a 15% to 25% improvement by just using PaperMC over Spigot. With more configuration though, you can get 50% better performance out of Paper. Yeah, 50% better performance by replacing a jar and doing a little configuration. That's my kind of improvement. Thus, let's go ahead and get on into how to download and install Paper in Minecraft 1.13.2.
The first thing you need to do to install Paper is download it. You can find the 1.13.2 Paper download link in the description above. I would recommend downloading the most recent version, and then, create a folder on your desktop and add Paper into it. Next, you need to create a run.bat file using the codes in the description above. After that, run your .bat file.
An EULA should appear at this point. If you aren't loading the EULA for your Minecraft server, you need to download Java and run the Jarfix. Both are linked above. Once you've found the EULA file, you need to accept the EULA. Just open the EULA file and change EULA=false to EULA=true. Now, double click your run.bat file again. This will run your Paper server.
At this point, you have setup a Paper server, but no one can join it. To do that, you need to port forward. We have tons of tutorials on port forwarding linked above, but the port you want to forward for Minecraft is 25565. After you have that port forwarded, you will be able to get your public IP from the link above, give that to your friends, and start having fun!
