How To Manually Run a Rootkit Scan with Kaspersky Internet and Total Security
Newer versions of Kaspersky don't allow for you to run a rootkit scan manually. Instead a Rootkit scan is set to run automatically in the background. However you can use the Run application in Windows to force a scan whenever you want.
The command that you will need to input into the Run app will be different for each version. There are some simple steps that you can follow to finding the right command for you.
Search command:
"%programfiles(X86)%\Kaspersky Lab\"
Example final command:
"%programfiles(X86)%\Kaspersky Lab\Your Version Here\avp.com" start scan_qscan
