How to Mark a Location & Place Waypoint Down in PUBG on PC (Easy Tutorial)
Certainly! In PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) on PC, you can mark locations and place waypoints using the following methods:
Marking Locations:
Hard Marker: To place a hard marker on the map (visible to your entire
team), follow these steps:
Open the map by pressing the M key.
Hold down the ALT key.
While holding ALT, right-click on the location where you want to place the marker. This will create a hard marker on the map.
You can release the ALT key to remove the starting point.
Note that there is a distance limitation for hard markers (approximately 200 meters).
Soft Marker: You can also use the quick marker (soft marker) to indicate the direction you’re aiming at. By default, this is bound to the Right Mouse Button (RMB). When you aim down sights (ADS) at an enemy, your teammates will see this soft mark on the compass, helping them understand your intended direction1.
Placing Waypoints:
Waypoints allow you to make strategic plans for your routes. However, you can only use waypoints when the map is open (press M to open the map).
To place waypoints:
Press ALT and right-click on the map to place the first point.
While still holding ALT, click other locations on the map to add more points.
Release the ALT key to remove the starting point.
You can place up to 4 points per group of waypoints.
To remove placed waypoints, press ALT + Delete
