How to Organize Gloomhaven
233Finding cheap storage solutions for organizing Gloomhaven can be a little difficult, but with a little creativity, this heavy board game can easily sort itself out for your tabletop game nights. In this video I remotely direct Ashton on how to store Gloomhaven since I can’t handle my own game seeing as its over at his house. We’ll go over everything that I used to help put everything back into the box, and don’t worry—it’s dirt cheap.
For my home brew storage solution, I first wanna address that I use quite a few 3rd party software to enhance my Gloomhaven experience. First of all there’s Gloomhaven Helper, which basically streamlines all the combat, meaning I don’t need monster stat sheets and ability/attack modifier decks, as well as the element board. Next I use Ninjalooter’s campaign tracker, which means no map or party sheet either. Last but not least, me and my friends all use Gloomhaven Attack Deck, an app on our phones that does our attack modifier decks for us. Also, these programs are all free!
Regarding stuff that doesn’t come in the box that I used, I bought 3 Plano boxes from Walmart for around 5 bucks each to store all the monster standees and overlay tiles. I also used a bunch of ziplock bags to store all the cards like events, items, etc. Lastly, I used baby food containers for the summon tokens and character tokens that I got from Dollar Tree.
Of course, if you’re looking for a luxury storage solution, you could always pay big and go with Broken Token’s organizer. I’ve heard that there’s other good options if you want to buy custom organizers tailored specifically for Gloomhaven, but I don’t know what they are considering that my research into them stopped pretty early when I settled on a cheap organization method.
