Shelfside's Best (and Worst) Board Gaming of 2020
400Shelfside has reviewed a lot of board games for 2020, but what were our favorites? Ashton's here to list his best tabletop experiences over the last year, and talk about which games were the most memorable! There's lots of cardboard, cards, components, and minis to compare here, despite the fact that we didn't use them much since game nights were happening digitally for most of this year :(
Regardless, a lot of really cool games came into our collections over 2020. Gloomhaven, as well as Jaws of the Lion are big hitters, but so is War of the Ring or Root and the Underworld expansion. There's also a lot of games we constantly love playing that aren't even new releases like Twilight Imperium, though that just recently got a new expansion this year: Prophecy of Kings. On top of all that, there's kickstarter games out there that aren't even out yet, but we've been able to play them online through Tabletop Simulator or Tabletopia!
