On an Xbox One, you can pause downloads by following these steps:

Navigate to the Home Screen: Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. From there, press the left bumper to navigate to the Home tab if you're not already on it.

Access the Active Downloads: On the Home tab, you'll see a tile labeled "My games & apps." Select this tile and press the A button to open it.

View Active Downloads: Inside the "My games & apps" section, select "Queue" from the left menu. This will show you a list of all the downloads and updates currently in progress.

Pause a Download: Locate the download you want to pause in the queue list. Highlight the download, and then press the menu button (the button with three horizontal lines) on your controller. This will open a context menu.

Pause or Resume: In the context menu, you'll have the option to either "Pause" or "Resume" the download. If you want to pause it, select "Pause." If you want to resume a paused download, select "Resume."

Confirmation: You may be asked to confirm your choice. Confirm by selecting the appropriate option.
