Requirements
PS5 Console: Updated to the latest system software.
iPhone: Running iOS 14 or later (iOS 14.5 or later for DualSense controller support).
PS Remote Play App: Download from the Apple App Store.
PlayStation Network (PSN) Account: Use the same account as on your PS5.
Internet Connection: At least 5 Mbps upload/download; 15 Mbps recommended for optimal performance (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
Controller (Optional): DualSense (iOS 14.5+), DualShock 4 (iOS 13+), or MFi-certified controller like Backbone One. On-screen controls are also available.
Setup Instructions
Enable Remote Play on PS5:
On your PS5, go to Settings - System - Remote Play.
Turn on Enable Remote Play.
To allow Remote Play in Rest Mode, go to Settings - System - Power Saving- Features Available in Rest Mode, and enable Stay Connected to the Internet and Enable Turning On PS5 from Network.
Install PS Remote Play App:
Download the PS Remote Play app from the Apple App Store.
Open the app and sign in with your PSN account (same as your PS5).
Pair Your iPhone with PS5 (if needed):
If the app doesn’t find your PS5, manually pair:
On PS5, go to Settings - System - Remote Play - Pair Device to get an 8-digit code.
In the PS Remote Play app, tap Register Manually and enter the code.
Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network for the initial connection.
Connect a Controller (Optional):
DualSense/DualShock 4:
Press the Create/Share and PS buttons until the controller’s light flashes (pairing mode).
On your iPhone, go to Settings - Bluetooth, and select the controller.
Alternatively, use on-screen controls, but a controller is recommended for better gameplay.
Start Remote Play:
Launch the PS Remote Play app, select PS5, and it will search for your console.
Once connected, your PS5’s home screen will appear on your iPhone. Navigate using the controller or on-screen controls.
Adjust video quality in the app’s settings (cog icon) to optimize for your network (e.g., 720p for iPhone, 1080p for PS5)
