In this video I'll be showing you how to stream on Twitch in under 3 minutes. Streaming to Twitch requires an account. When you have an account you can use OBS Studio to sign in to your Twitch account. This will allow you to stream on Twitch using OBS Studio.

For Twitch streams, you will usually want to use a 1920x1080 resolution for the canvas and streaming. Getting your stream settings right can help improve the quality of your stream and make it more enjoyable for viewers to watch. While stream quality isn't necessarily the most important thing, having terrible quality may drive viewers away. Ideally, you will want your OBS stream settings to allow you to stream with a good or decent video quality, without lag or stuttering.

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card then you will want to use the NVIDIA NVENC H.264 video encoder. NVIDIA graphics cards are fairly common if you have a gaming PC. However, if you have an AMD graphics card then you will want to use the AMD HW H.264 video encoder. Otherwise use the x.264 video encoder.

From here the most important settings are the rate control, which should be set to CBR for consistent quality on your streams. For the best stream quality use a bitrate of 8000. If you have a slower upload speed then you can use a bitrate of 6000. In cases where that won't work then you can reduce the bitrate to 4000 and reduce the frame rate to 30 in the video settings.

OBS allows you to create scenes which is the canvas that will be streamed to Twitch. You can set up multiple scenes allowing you to stream different things easily.

You can use sources to add various different items to your stream, such as your webcam or gameplay. To add gameplay you can use a display capture source, which will capture your computer screen. This can also be used to stream your screen to Twtich.

If you are trying to stream a game then you can also use game capture. The game capture source allows you to stream a specific application and can be used for gameplay as well as other software.

The window capture mode is typically only used for adding a specific window or browser to your stream. However, in some instances, you may need to use window capture to stream a game.

A webcam is also often added to Twitch live streams. You can add a webcam using a video capture source.

All OBS sources can be resized and repositioned as needed, allowing you to setup your Twitch stream to your liking.

Once you have setup your stream settings and scenes you can start a Twitch stream by clicking the Start Streaming button. The same button can also be used to end the live stream if needed.

OBS Studio is a great option if you want to stream on Twitch PC. If you have a capture card, then you can also use OBS to stream from Xbox, PS4 or PS5. This allows you to stream your gameplay with your camera and stream overlays.
