Hi. I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to take a screenshot on the Xbox One.

Equally as satisfying as reaching a milestone in an Xbox One game can be bragging about that achievement with your friends. And a great way to do that is through sharing a strategically-timed screenshot of your moment. You can capture a screenshot easily through the Xbox menu while your in the moment. It's worth noting that if you're streaming your Xbox on your computer, you can't capture a screenshot using the following method, but you can capture a screenshot using traditional screenshot software on your computer.

And now, the steps to take a screenshot on Xbox One.

Step 1. Launch the game you want to capture a screenshot inside of, and then navigate to the location or position yourself your character how you want them to be when the screenshot is captured.

Step 2. Press the "Xbox" button on your Xbox One remote controller. A menu flys in from the left side of your screen. Take note of three options that appear in the lower center part of the screen: Screenshot, Record That, and Capture Options.

Step 3. Press "Y" to choose Screenshot. The menu on the left side of the screen closes, and a message appears in the lower center part of the screen notifying you that your screenshot has been saved. The message disappears after a few seconds.

And now, where to find captured screenshots on your Xbox One.

Step 1. Press the "Xbox" button on your Xbox One to display a fly-out menu on the left side of the screen. You can do this whether you're in the middle of a game, or on your console's home screen.

Step 2. Use either the left analog stick or the D-pad to move to select the Broadcast & Capture menu along the top of the screen. The Broadcast & Capture icon looks like a half-circle with a WiFi signal coming out of it.

Step 3. Select "Capture." The Capture menu appears.

Step 4. Select "Manage Captures." The Manage Captures screen appears, by default displaying all of the video clips and screenshots associated with your Xbox Live account.

Step 5. You can use the first available filter to filter down to captured video clips or screenshots captured on this specific Xbox or associated with your Xbox Live account. The second filter lets you filter down to video clips or screenshots. The third filter lets you filter down to a specific game.

Step 6. After applying a specific filter, move the on-screen selector down to highlight the screenshot you want to see, and then press "A" to view that specific screenshot. The chosen screenshot appears on your screen.
