How to Turn Off the Location & GPS tracking on your Android Phone (Settings Tutorial)
2If you’d like to disable location and GPS tracking on your Android phone, there are a couple of straightforward methods you can use:
Quick Settings Method:
Unlock your device and go to the home screen.
Slide down the top menu (notification shade) to expand it fully.
Look for the “Location” toggle in the Quick Settings panel. If it’s already there, simply tap it to turn location access on or off.
If you don’t see the toggle, you can customize your Quick Settings by editing them. Add the “Location” toggle if it’s missing.
Settings Method:
Swipe down once or twice from the top of the screen (depending on your phone) to open the notifications.
Tap the gear icon to access Settings.
Scroll down and find “Location”.
Toggle off “Use Location” at the top of the screen.
To turn it back on, revisit the Location settings.
