How to Enable or Turn On the Back Buttons on Steam Deck Games (Fast Tutorial)
0To enable or configure the back buttons (also known as the rear grip buttons) on your Steam Deck for games, follow these steps:
1. Open the Steam Menu:
Press the Steam button on the left side of your Steam Deck to open the main menu.
2. Navigate to Your Game Library:
Scroll to "Library" and select it to view your installed games.
3. Select the Game You Want to Configure:
Highlight and select the game for which you want to enable or configure the back buttons.
4. Open Controller Configuration:
Once you've selected the game, press the "A" button to bring up the game options.
Scroll down to "Controller Settings" or "Controller Configuration." This will take you to the layout customization screen.
5. Access the Back Button Configuration:
In the Controller Configuration screen, you’ll see options for all buttons on your Steam Deck, including the back buttons (labeled as L4, L5, R4, and R5).
