and in today's video i'm just going to
show you how you can turn on commenting
on
your youtube videos so if you're new to
the channel and you find
this video helpful please leave a like
and drop a comment below
and do consider subscribing to the

tips and tricks and how to's for
everything tech and digital related
so if we come across to youtube.com
and what you need to do is log into your
account
and then you want to go ahead and click
your profile icon
up in the top right hand corner
and come across to your youtube studio
so from here you need to go down to the
bottom left hand corner
and click onto the settings button
and the first thing you need to do is on
the menu on the left you need to click
onto channel
and then you want to go to advanced
settings up here
and you just want to make sure that this
option selected down here
which says no said this channel is not
made for kids
i never played content that's made for
children
so that's the first thing you need to do
you need to make sure that options
selected uh once that's done you need to
come across
to this one here just underneath channel
it's called upload defaults
and what you need to do is come up to
the advanced settings
button up here again
and all you need to do is scroll down
and here it says comments
and you need to click on the drop down
box underneath
and you've got the option there so
if you want to allow all comments to
come through
no matter what kind of words or anything
they contain you just click the top
option here
and that's going to change it to allow
all comments and that's going to allow
people to comment on your video
without it being filtered by youtube um
obviously
there's a couple of different ones you
can also use this
this is where you come if you want to
disable comments on your video
the options there and
you can also hold all comments for
review if you want to so
you know you can you can have youtube
actually stop
and hold the comments and then you would
go through each comment
and if they're okay you would say yep
and the comment would go forward and
appear on your video
and the final option you've got which is
what i tend to
go for is hold potentially inappropriate
comments for review
which means that any comments
i don't know so you get someone
commenting on your video which contains
something from the words of great video
great content or
something positive no vulgar language
youtube's gonna allow that to go through
uh if the algorithm on youtube picks up
any
bad words or profanity or vulgar words
it's gonna hold it fill review and
what's going to happen is you're just
going to
basically choose whether
or not that comment's going to appear on
the video it's going to let you review
it
so that's how you turn on the commenting
once you've changed our option don't
forget to click the save button down

just in the bottom right hand corner
just to save your options
