By default in iOS 14 and newer, whenever you receive a phone call while your iPhone is unlocked you'll just be notified through a banner at the top of the screen. This is a change from older versions of the iPhone operating system, where no matter what app you had open incoming calls would always appear via a full screen alert when your phone was unlocked. If you want to revert back to getting a full screen alert for phone calls whenever your iPhone is unlocked you can do that with a few quick taps.
Now let's walk through the steps to enable full screen call notifications for your iPhone.
Step 1. Tap the "Settings" app on your iPhone home screen to open the Settings menu.
Step 2. Scroll down and then tap "Phone" in this menu. The Phone menu is displayed.
Step 3. Tap "Incoming Calls." The Incoming Calls menu is shown.
Step 4. Tap "Full Screen" to place a check mark next to that option. Going forward when you receive phone calls while your iPhone is unlocked, you'll receive a full screen call notification rather than a banner.
