3 new important features in Band Hero/Guitar Hero 5 that are not present in the PlayStation2 version
EXPAND FOR MORE INFORMATION
---
This video will show you three significant improvements made in the Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5 games on Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii that did not make their way onto the Sony PlayStation 2 versions of these games, namely: support for unconventional bands (multiple guitarists, bassists, drummers or singers), background information for each song & bonus star challenges, and the 'win over the crowd' revive or revival meter (bringing back a fallen band member should a band member fail out). Note that these features are only present in three Guitar Hero games to date: Band Hero, Guitar Hero 5 and Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock (all other Guitar Hero titles, including Guitar Hero Van Halen, do not feature these three new features and instead rely on a gameplay engine that is closer to that of Guitar Hero World Tour). Also note that none of these features are available on ANY Guitar Hero title (including all previously-mentioned titles) on the PlayStation 2 platform.
These new features are in addition to the support for online multiplayer and support for purchasing and playing DLC music tracks which the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii platforms all support and which the PlayStation 2 platform has never supported for any Guitar Hero game.
Also note that although the vocal (singing) screen layout has changed in Band Hero, Guitar Hero 5, and Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, ONLY in Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock has the vocal pitch recognition engine for vocal singing been improved greatly. All other Guitar Hero/Band Hero titles, despite possible graphical interface facelifts, still use the previous generation of vocal pitch recognition engine, which is rather weak at properly detecting vocal pitch.
