How to Add Someone as a Friend & Invite them to GAME on PS5 Console (Best Method)
1Adding friends and inviting them to a game on your PS5 is a core function of the console. The best method is to use the Game Base feature, as it is the centralized hub for all social interactions.
Step 1: Add a Friend on PS5
From the PS5 home screen, press the PS button on your controller to open the Control Center.
Navigate to the Game Base card (it has an icon of two people).
Select the Friends tab.
Choose Search for players (it looks like a magnifying glass).
Enter your friend's Online ID (their PlayStation Network username) or their real name.
Once you find their profile, select it and then choose Add Friend.
You can also select the option to Become Close Friends to share your real name and profile picture.
A friend request will be sent, and they will need to accept it.
