How to Use 3 Types of Torpedoes in Cold Waters w/ DotMod
There are 3 major types of torpedoes in Cold Waters w/ DotMod:
Straight-running -- the torpedo will make one turn, then run straight. This includes the old Mk 16 (US), Mk 8 (UK), and the Shkval (Sov/Rus)
SEPCIAL NOTE on Shkval: this torpedo requires some time to accelerate, so using it in close range will not do full damage. If you use the aim line, it'll be "red", indicating acceleration zone. You have to go even further out, it turns white, then it'll do full damage. The other two straight-running torpedoes relies on warhead, not speed, and thus do not have this problem.
Wire-guided -- the torpedo can turn and change depth while the wire is still intact, great for dogleg-ing the torpedo, or avoid noisemakers
Wake-homing -- the torpedo chases down a ship by its wake, so it's almost impossible to stop... but aiming can be a bit difficult...
Fortunately, the Victor III has all three types onboard.
So we'll demonstrate all three against an undefended convoy of 4 NATO freighters.
