1984 688-class vs 7 Random Soviet SSNs | Cold Waters w/ DotMod Challenge
Can a normal 688 (not the improved flight III) survive 7 Soviet nuclear subs in the waters of North Atlantic around 1984?
In one corner, we have the 688, also known as the Los Angeles class. First built in 1976, it replaced the Sturgeon and Permit classes of nuclear subs by being both bigger and faster, as well as room for more sophisticated sensors and gear. This is the 1984 version.
In the other corner, we have the entire nuclear submarine arsenal from the Soviet Union, except November class, which is ancient by 1984. The scenario will randomly choose from Victor I, Victor II, Victor III, Mike, Sierra, Akula, and Alfa. And there will be SEVEN of them, versus just player's 688.
The rules are simple: can the 688 survive against 7 of its Soviet contemporaries?
NOTE: The spawn distance was increased by 10000 yards as indicated at the beginning of the video. This prevents the computer from suddenly going active and shoot a spread of torpedoes, turning this into a quickdraw contest. Instead, there will be a bit of "room" for the opponents to stumble into each other.
