How to Use Apps in Split Screen Mode ON or OFF on Android Phone (Settings Tutorial)
0Split-screen mode on Android allows you to use two apps simultaneously, which can be quite handy for multitasking. Here’s how you can enable and use split-screen mode on your Android phone:
Open Recent Apps:
Access your recent apps by either:
Pressing the Recents button (if your phone has navigation buttons).
Swiping up from the bottom of the screen (if you use gestures).
Select the First App:
Tap and hold on the first app you want to use in split-screen mode.
On Pixel phones, tap the icon above the app.
Choose Split Screen:
From the menu that appears, select “Split Screen” or “Split Top”.
Now, the first app will cover the top half of your screen.
Select the Second App:
Go back to your app list and choose the second app you want to use.
It will now occupy the bottom half of the screen.
Using Apps in Dual Screen Mode:
Both apps are now open, and you can interact with them as if they were running individually.
You can tap options in one app, select items in the second app, and so on.
You can even rotate your screen to use split-screen mode in landscape view.
Exiting Split-Screen Mode:
To quit split-view mode, drag the black bar that appears between your apps toward the app you want to close.
For example, to close the app covering the bottom half, drag the bar downwards.
Remember that Android keeps your app running even if you’ve removed it from split-view mode, so you’ll need to close it manually.
And there you have it! You’re now multitasking on your Android phone by bringing your favorite apps onto a single screen.
