How to Reset Security Pin if Forgot on Steam Deck (Lock Screen)
1If you've forgotten your security PIN on your Steam Deck, you'll need to reset it. Here’s how you can do that:
Restart Your Steam Deck:
Power off your Steam Deck by holding the Power button for a few seconds and selecting "Power Off". Then, turn it back on.
Access Recovery Mode:
As the Steam Deck starts up, press and hold the Volume Down button while the Steam Deck is booting up.
Continue holding the button until the recovery menu appears on the screen.
Navigate to Recovery Options:
In the recovery menu, use the on-screen options to select "Boot into Desktop Mode" or "Reinstall SteamOS" (the exact option may vary).
