How to use Bluetooth Speakers or Soundbar with PS5 Console (Device Not Supported)
0the PlayStation 5 (PS5) does not natively support connecting wireless speakers for in-game audio or system sounds. The PS5 primarily relies on the use of headsets, soundbars, and audio systems connected through HDMI or USB for audio output.
However, you can use a wireless speaker or Bluetooth speaker for audio in a few specific scenarios:
Media Playback: You can connect a wireless speaker to the PS5 for media playback, such as streaming videos or music. Here's how to do it:
a. On the PS5, go to "Settings."
b. Select "Sound."
c. Choose "Audio Output."
d. Select "Output Device" and choose your wireless speaker from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
Please note that the speaker should be in pairing mode for the PS5 to discover and connect to it.
DualSense Controller: You can also connect a wireless speaker to your DualSense controller if it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Plug the speaker into the controller's audio jack for in-game audio. Keep in mind that not all games may support this option, and you may need to adjust the audio settings on the PS5.
Wireless Transmitter: Some wireless speakers come with a wireless transmitter that you can connect to the PS5's optical audio output. This allows you to transmit audio wirelessly to the speaker. Check the user manual of your wireless speaker to see if it supports this option.
Soundbar with Bluetooth: If you have a soundbar with Bluetooth capabilities, you can connect it to the PS5 as you would with any other Bluetooth audio device.
