Welcome to the Retro Gamer 365 where we are gaming every day! I am your host for the day, Professor Stu, and we are continuing in our HSF2 series with the leader of Shadoloo himself, M. Bison!

As discussed in our video on Balrog, in the Japanese series for Street Fighter II and everything derived from it (Alpha, MVC, X-men vs Street Fighter, etc.) M. Bison and Balrog have their names switched from the American versions. If you want to understand the reasons why then go watch the Balrog video and read the description!

Played by Raul Julia in the live action movie, M. Bison is the lord of Shadoloo. He is a master of all forms of criminal activities including drug trafficking, murder, kidnapping, and extortion. Overall he is a bad man. Unlike the version of him played by Neal McDonough in Chun Li however, this M. Bison has full access to and control of Psycho Power.

What is Psycho Power and what does it do? This question cannot really be answered as no answer is given in any of the games I have played with him. What it does do is it gives him an awesome shade of green (or purple, red, blue, or yellow depending upon the color scheme) to all of his punches and gives him such abilities as teleportation later on in the series.

Anyways in this game his super moves start with the "Psycho Crusher" which is performed by charging back and then forward with a punch where the strength determines the distance, speed, and damage of the move. It is basically a forward lunge where he moves horizontally while rotating around his axis. Next up is the "Double Knee Press" in which Bison flips forward and kicks twice as he lunges. It is performed by charging back and then forward with a kick. Following that is the "Head Press" which is done by charging down and then up with a kick. He will either stomp on the opponent's head or a punch can be pressed while he is in midair and the attack will transition to the "Somersault Skull Diver" which is him punching the opponent in the top of the head from above. Finally he has the "Devil Reverse" which is very similar to the Head Press except it is performed by charging down and then up with a punch. In opposition to the Press, if a kick is pressed before Bison lands the blow from the attack, he will change his movement and kick the opponent instead. His EX or Hyper move is the "Knee Press Nightmare" which is performed by charging back, then forward, back, and finally forward again with any kick. It is essentially a doubled version of the Double Knee Press which can hit around 7 or 8 times maximum.

Similar to Akuma, Bison has great maneuverability and get around the screen and past almost any attack with ease. Because of this ability I was able to take down Akuma with relative ease, allowing the recording of both Bison's ending and the full credits for Bison. Similar to with Chun-Li, Cammy, and Vega, I somehow unlocked the "Champion Bison" screen and I do not know how. If you do, please leave a comment below letting me know!

With that the last of the regular characters on Hyper Street Fighter II are done and all that is left is the secret character and grandmaster of Shotokan: Akuma! His video is coming up next week. Until then, smash those subscribe and like buttons and keep on gaming every day!
