The freshly released Hands of Necromancy 2 is like the previous Game a Dark Fantasy Boomer Shooter Game. But this time you can pick one out of two characters. It also seems that the Metroidvania Element was cut.
Which is fine in my eyes, since i played through the first Game with the simplified Map. Which means i could only enter the levels, that i actually can play through.
But the Hub Stage seems to be cut as well, which is okay but actually feels like a loss. It was alwasy nice to get back to a known place, that opened a little further when you brought a new transformation out of the levels.
But this also makes it more straightforward.
You play through the level and are done with them, which is similar to Doom.

Aside the different Weapons, you also got an Inventory, which you access midgame, by going left and right through the items and hit Enter to use them.
This way you can use the Transformations you found, or drink a health potion, or you use the name Giving Hands of Necromancy, to ressurect fallen enemies as friendly NPC.
They will follow around or stay in the area (since they can't jump) and attack hostile monsters. In some situations this is really handy, since the Monsters also attack your ressurected ally, which makes a little safer for you.
