When I used to weigh up what was my least favourite game in the long-running and mostly beloved Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate always used to fit the bill. I just didn’t like the game, and for a while after I played it, I was unsure as to even why but never thought of giving the game another chance, a chance of which it rightfully deserved. That was until this week, where after playing Mirage, I’ve only got a couple more games to play in this fantastic series, and one of them was Syndicate.

Although I was initially hesitant, I soon discovered that I was very wrong about the quality of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and instead of it being the self-proclaimed ‘worst game’ in the series, it’s instead one that I’ve been enjoying quite a lot, from the combat, to the stealth, and even to certain aspects of a story that I thought I’d surely not like. I’m not saying it’s a perfect game by any stretch, and I do have some gripes with it, but the fact that I’m actually thoroughly enjoying it has made me realise it’s a much better game than I thought, and I wanted to breakdown what I’ve really liked, some of my gripes, and why I even disliked it in the first place.
