Not much time for this lately sorry.
I wanted to get under 3:30, I could go lower I'm sure but I don't want to. Any lower would just be RNG, one of those type of maps.
This map is dull, grey, and confusing. A series of metallic rooms with no textural variance, arranged in a horrible labyrinth of pointless dead ends. Playing it blind is a painful experience. The map suffers from being one of the most forgettable I've ever played.
Most of the run consists of holding down the shotgun trigger and hoping for good damage spread. I appreciate the berserk at least, as a quicker and more enjoyable option.
Here we are also introduced to one of the trademarks of Icarus, these horrible doors that open from a linedef in front of them. It wouldn't be so bad if they actually worked as intended, but I've found there's like a 30% chance of skipping the linedef so you waste time running in to the door. Also, they are set to open both from the linedef and interacting, so I am constantly closing the door in my face when muscle memory tries to open in manually. It drives me insane, and the worst part is that not every door does it. So if you do retrain yourself to stop auto interacting with doors, then you'll sill end up wasting time running in to them expecting them to open. It is obnoxious and if you've played Icarus I am sure you hate it too.
