ICDR 10 [Sunless Sea] - Comatose Ferret?
0Sunless Sea is a dark and rich world in which you explore the seas of Fallen London. This was my first look at the game, and I have yet to get very far. From what I've gathered though, there is a whole lot to discover and plenty of opportunities to choose your own path. The mechanics took me a while to figure out, and long stretches of sailing can get a bit dull in the early game (unless you're running out of fuel...) but I suspect the game will grow on me as I get deeper into the story. I like the persistence built into the game through the "inheritence" system. When you die (and you will) you can leave behind some (but not all) of what you acquired to your decendant, pupil, etc. who then becomes the next character you play. I like that in a game; it makes me feel like I'm progressing even when I'm dying a lot, as I suspect will be a frequent occurence in this game, haha!
