Having resorted to looking in the manual to overcome the Sky Garden's conveyance failure, we were set to make plenty of progress in this session. (As it turns out, IoG's manual seems to include practically an entire walkthrough; I avoided looking at later portions.)
Not only did I manage to breeze through the rest of the Sky Garden (including its boss, which was an absolute pushover in stark contrast to the previous one), I managed to sail clear through Mu after it.
Several folks in chat vaguely alluded to Mu giving them problems, but the only problem I had was remembering how to find my way back to switch to Freedan after I had finished exploring...
