Dread Templar first playthrough, part 1
I had bought this as part of a bundle quite a while ago, and now that it's fully released I recently bought it again for my dad for his birthday, so I figured it's about time I actually played through it myself.
I played the demo for this back in 2021, which consisted of the first couple of levels. Now that I'm getting to play the full version, in addition to more environments and enemies, we get to see a lot more weapons, along with more upgrade options to go along with them.
The first episode has a few neat locales and puzzles, but the environments start to really shine when we get into the second episode. There's even a full-blown reference to a certain 90's FPS...
The game's music has certainly been fun to listen to, though I feel a little bad for maybe not paying full attention to it during the heat of battle. The game's composer was in stream chat and mentioned a couple of cases where songs perhaps weren't used to their fullest potential, but even so, there's plenty to enjoy here.
