0:00 Prologue

You're dumped into a tutorial zone, where you must solve puzzles in order to proceed. Unlike me, I recommend that you don't activate any of the crystals until after you solve the button puzzle. The explanations on the signs are kind of misleading, since the golem has to be dead if you want to use them as a weight for the button puzzle. The golem position resetting lever doesn't work until the golem is dead. Once you solve this button puzzle, you should be able to access all the crystals within the time limit.

I noticed that the Draw weapon skill has a chance of failing, which can result in wasted turns. If this is intentional, then why?! I would rather have a weaker but 100% reliable standard offensive buff than this luck-based one.

However, the steal skill is actually good, since it both steals and damages the enemy. This ensures that even if the stealing fails, the turn isn't wasted.

Fruits can heal status effects and HP, but don't tell you which in the item description. Bruh.

The save point in this area can heal, but it also has a chance of softlocking the game. How did no one report this?

Once you make it through this area, you'll get some auto-scrolling cutscenes, even though auto-scrolling w/o voice acting should be considered a crime. For some reason, Ephren is way stronger looking in cutscenes than in gameplay. Also, the guy Ephren was supposed to rescue ended up saving himself, rendering all my puzzle-solving useless!

Time rewinds and we get a scene where Ephren tries to interrogate a dying soldier before killing him. Then time rewinds further.

17:01 Augren

Ephren wakes up in the town of Augren, where he's allowed to stay in the inn for free. For some reason, the quest center downstairs has no functionality yet, even though there are quests in town. What's the point of a quest center if clients don't bother using it?

The first quest has you fight a practice match against a local fighter. The second one is a scavenger hunt for various objects throughout town.

IMO, the towns are too crowded for the size of the walkable areas, making it hard to move around. Either have the NPCs stand still or fix the roaming NPC-to-walkable area ratio.

The random enemies outside of town have a less than 100% chance to drop their sellable loot. Good thing the inn is free and we can steal from them.

37:54 Monastery

You can start a quest here by helping the peasants. You have to go inside and attend mass, and then an earthquake will occur. You'll find a suspicious man on the second floor.

42:33 Boss: Lance

You'll have two consecutive battles with him, and the second one will be harder. Hope you prepared potions or learned a healing spell.

Afterwards, he reveals that he's trying to stop the corruption in the church and that he wants to explore the church's secret dungeon. You can postpone this until later.

52:47 Temple of Waves

You can't do much here except take a few chests, since a monk orb is required to enter.

56:39 Edith

There's another scavenger hunt quest. Also, don't enter the inn until you're decently leveled, since it will result in an event. Ephren finds a crazy necromancer, Roland, who makes us fight three skeletons. Since Ephren is by himself, this can be a bit tough. Afterwards, Roland will steal Ephren's necklace, which belonged to Ephren's mom. Jerk!

1:07:13 Minor Locations

Visit the ranch, Elmvale Forest, Waterfall Pond, Loot Cave, and the Wishing Well.

1:15:32 Lance's Quest

Lance will join. Be sure to kill all enemies and get all chests to boost your quest rank.

1:22:29 Boss: Graham and Harlowe

These two stooges of the immortal Lathram have a lot of nasty ailments, but they aren't very durable.

1:23:58 Lance's Sacrifice

Afterwards, you can continue to the bottom, where you'll fight Lathram. Unfortunately, he tanks everything and beats everyone in the following cutscene while his mooks cave in the dungeon. Lance sacrifices himself so that Ephren can escape, and leaves behind the Air Orihalchos.
