0:00 Title Screen
Why the hell is the opening screen showing my Steam ID?! Well, it's not like it's a huge secret, but still.
There's a quick primer about the events of the previous game, but it autoscrolls. Also, the translation is supposed to be better, but I'm still catching a lot of mistakes and awkward wording.
3:17 Interrogation and Prison Break
The player character, Alissya, has been captured by the Imralians, who resort to water torture in an attempt to get her to confess to being a spy. I guess the conflict might not be completely black-and-white, since the rebels are willing to resort to such methods.
She states she's looking for her sister, who is a high-ranking member of Imralia. I looked at my previous videos later and it's likely that Alissya is talking about Rissa
Lang tells the soldiers to bring Alissya to her room, but the latter uses this as an opportunity to escape. You'll have to find your items in one of the nearby rooms and fight your way through several Imralian guards. Be sure to save before entering any room, since one of them will force you to escape without any warning.
Outside, you'll have to wander through a path containing symbol encounters. Like the previous game, they're fast, have excellent pathfinding, and will move during dialogue.
Alissya ends up jumping off a cliff to avoid being captured. If they didn't torture her and instead sent Rissa over to talk to her, would things end differently?
18:16 Aereon Side
Grand Viceroy Tressa Lauretilion is now the playable character.
The characters move painfully slow in cutscenes, to the point where they're almost as slow as the player in The Amber Throne!
Prime Minister Theo admits he should have relied more on Tressa's expertise during the previous battle in Rochefort, though given this is Theo we're talking about, I don't know how sincere he is. He also plans on teaming up with Elyria for the coming battles.
Afterwards, Tressa will team up with General Sara, who wants to visit her mother's grave. This will require you to go through a level 20+ area, but the two party members are level 40. The only thing that can threaten them is the stun ailment, which can persist after combat for some reason.
I think their inventory is shared with the Elyria party, so be sure to pick up items whenever you can.
I hope I don't regret skipping the thief cave.
36:11 Elyria Side: Arlene
This probably takes place long before the prison segment, since we're still in Elyria.
Elyria is sending soldiers to help Aereon, though not every citizen wants to get involved in this war. For now, you'll team up with Rea to visit Alissya's father, who lives in the next town.
In Arlene, you'll learn about crafting mechanics. This will allow you to use materials from dungeons in order to craft consumable items. It'll still cost money, but it'll cost less than buying the items normally.
The sidequest system in this game has horrible UI. For one thing, you need to manually keep track of your current quest, since the game will not tell you even at the inn. Additionally, it doesn't make it clear that monster hunting quests require you to fight blue symbol encounters and that red symbol encounters don't count.
46:09 Mystic Forest
There are teleportation symbols and at least one switch for some reason. While doing the quests, I learned that completing the objectives forcibly teleports you back to the inn.
At the bridge after the traveling merchant, you'll have to fight a level 10 Begal Bandit. As usual, that's an unimpressive name for their group.

Alissya's father is bedridden and he states that he regrets straining his relationship with her older sister. He asks Alissya to look for her sister, but this will require us to go to Aereon.
At the blacksmith, you'll learn how to forge weapons and armor, which is more cost effective than buying them normally.
