In the Hunt (Arcade) CO-OP Playthrough / This is arguably the most dynamic game starring submarines.
In the Hunt (1993) by Irem is is one of the more interesting games starring submarines. Why ? Because they have so much in common with real submarines as the fact that they float, submerge and fire torpedoes. And that would be basically it. The game is definitely focused on action full of dynamics and spectacular explosions. Yes dynamics and action while controlling submarines, something great literally. It's impossible to get bored here, because there are plenty of targets to smash and you don't have to worry about ammunition. Whichever way you look at it, this is one of the biggest carnage we have played so far. You may really like it all....... big and flashy bosses, beautiful backgrounds and effects accompanying the total destruction, plus Metal Slug-like graphics and we have a really decent game. Admittedly, it's not the same because destroying machines doesn't bring as much joy as in the case of MS, but it's still good. The title was generally successful, but apparently not as much as the creators expected, which is probably why it didn't get a sequel. And it's a pity because it could have been styled 180 degrees differently, for example, on airplanes, cars or tanks. There were really a lot of options, but it was decided not to do anything more with the brand. Our submarines can fire torpedoes in front of us and missiles upwards at targets above us or above the water level. Along the way we can find various power ups such as a force field that protects us from damage for a certain period of time. In the Hunt, as befits an arcade game, has a very uneven level of difficulty, which means that more than once you may encounter a situation from which you simply as an ordinary player will not be able to escape unscathed. This is admittedly not the level of rudeness applied to players as in GunForce, where the player from beginning to end has no way to oppose the wave of incoming enemies. In the hunt is definitely an interesting title because of the themes and dynamics used in it, you can even say that it is an unusual game made to match the best. Overall I recommend, but if you have the opportunity, play it with someone and not by yourself ;)
