The Revenge Of Shinobi (Genesis/MD) Playthrough / Not even Spider-Man can stop his revenge !
The Revenge Of Shinobi (1989) by Sega is considered by many as the apogee of the Shinobi series.... But rightfully so ? I personally think it is not, but I understand the admiration because The Revenge Of Shinobi is undoubtedly a fantastic game in every way.... and it's hard to deny that. For 89 it's a real masterpiece, but however, the later installments for me are better. But that will be addressed in the future. In the game, we once again play Joe Musashi, who will once again have to face the crime syndicate, reactivated under the name “Neo Zeed”. The organization this time has become so powerful that it has decided to attack frontally the only real threat to their existence..... "YES" Musashi's clan who apparently has the power of “stealth” XD its kind a bit funny because Musashi doesn't sneak he chops and kills indiscriminately without any sneaking. During the attack apparently our main character was not there and ended up killing his master and kidnapping his future bride. The controls here are very similar to the original only they have undergone a slight evolution by adding a double jump, and a special attack thanks to which we can throw one attack with multiple shiruken at once in multiple directions at the cost of losing ammunition. Yes this time we will have to be careful not to exhaust our supply of throwing weapons. We also get the option to choose one of 4 special abilities, making the gameplay easier for us in the short term. We get an offensive spell that clears the entire screen of enemies, a defensive spell that acts as a shield giving invulnerability, a multi-image that is a kind of disruption that protects us from all kinds of projectiles and last self-destruction....... yes it kills us but when we have a continue we are automatically restored to life in that place. It is a kind of lifebelt to save us from starting a level from the beginning when we die. As for the graphics as well as the music, it is a masterpiece of its time, and the gameplay itself is so well balanced that the game is challenging but fair. I recommend it as one of the better games on MD/Genesis .
